The Chestnut Tree
Tea Room and Licensed Restaurant
is located adjacent to the River Windrush in the beautiful Cotswolds village of Bourton-on-the-Water which has been described as the 'Little Venice' of the Cotswolds and is one of the most popular tourist spots in the region. Its local attractions include a Perfumery, Motor Museum, Model Village, Dragonfly Maze, Birdworld and Model Train Exhibition.
Famous for its cream, afternoon and celebration teas along with superb breakfasts, lunches, snacks, cakes, pastries and ice creams, The Chestnut Tree looks forward to welcoming you on your next visit. During the summer you can take tea on our private lawn adjacent to the river Windrush or maybe enjoy an ice cream or seasonal fruit from our take away kiosk.
Winter is with us, however at the time of writing the weather is still very mild. We have now introduced our winter menu including beef goulash soup, which already is becoming a firm favourite.
We look forward to seeing you soon.....
Dogs: We are sorry but we are unable to allow dogs into the restaurant, the only exception being guide dogs. We just wanted to make this clear as there has been confusion over what has been recorded on some web/review sites that are outside of our control.
More celebrity spotting................
Following The Chestnut Tree playing host to Channels 4’s Fabulous Baker Brothers as they filmed an episode for their new series on the ‘Best of British’ food, we have been visited by further stars. Martin Clunes called in for a scone during filming in the village and Johnny Vegas had lunch with us whilst on a private visit. We will keep you posted on any further celebrity visits.......
